The Fox Theatre restoration project team needed a brochure, a logo, and a coming soon page dedicated to spreading the news about this exciting project. The team is restoring the downtown movie theater into a state-of-the-art movie theater. As a major fundraising project, we created materials to engage the community about how to get involved.
We began with creating the logo. We wanted the logo to be memorable and dynamic, but also easy to incorporate throughout all future marketing materials, including future employee uniforms. The team wanted a logo that replicated the original marquee of the the theater back in the the early 1900s. Taking that concept, we came up with several different logo designs for the team to choose from. In the end, they chose the one that most closely resembles the original design of the marquee.
The goal of the brochure was to create something of a higher quality than the typical tri-fold brochure. The Fox Theatre project team wanted to hand out the brochure at the 2017 Chamber Banquet, also movie-themed, as well as make it available to the public. The brochure included vintage photos of the original movie theater. The team collaborated with local Atchison printing company Lockwood Printing, Co. to have to brochure printed.
Instead of a full website, we decided the best option at this time is a simple, cost-effective landing page where people can go to view the brochure, donate funds, and reach out to the project team for any additional information. We added a countdown clock on the landing page, counting down the days until the completion of the much-anticipated project.
